Question on Quilting - How critical is it to start my quilting in the middle and work out? I'd like to start in a corner because I want to grow a kudzu vine across this quilt, and it will be lots harder to conceptualize backwards. I pinned the heck out of it. Do you think I can get away with starting at the bottom corner if I"m careful? It's a single bed size. Thanks, Kerry
I've been bad about checking the site. I'm glad people are viewing it!
Kerry - Good question. If the section where the vine is going to go is pinned real well and you quilt out from the edge of where the vine is going to go. I think that'll work.
The issue is that as you quilt, the quilt sandwich shrinks. So you might get puckers in the center or the edge of the center if you quilt from the outside in.
But that's my opinion. Maybe someone else has done something similiar.
